Never Doom, Only Bloom

While people struggle to pay their bills, the AI world has failed to show them the abundant future worth fighting for.

It’s not. People are simply too busy trying to survive to care about the future.

Housing has become unaffordable. The cost of living is crushing people. They’re frustrated, miserable, demoralized and increasingly convinced that nobody is listening to them.

People want the basics. A roof over their heads, food on the table, financial security and some hope that tomorrow will be better than today.

And here we are, talking about AGI, superintelligence and the Singularity while millions of people are wondering how the hell they’re going to pay their bills.

We have completely failed to connect those two worlds.

The tech industry has failed to convince ordinary people that AI isn’t just another expensive toy for the wealthy. That it could cure diseases, dramatically reduce the cost of living, unlock abundance and prosperity, and fundamentally improve the human condition.

Instead, we’ve allowed the counter-movement to dominate the narrative.

And when people are hungry, angry, desperate and disappointed in their governments, it’s incredibly easy to sell them the idea that their problems can be solved by taking money from someone richer than themselves.

That’s how socialism gains a foothold. Not because everyone suddenly falls in love with socialist ideology, but because desperation makes promises of redistribution incredibly attractive.

And we, the AI enthusiasts, influencers and accelerationists, have dropped the ball too.

We’ve been so busy mogging each other with stupid vibecoded games, benchmarks and AI gimmicks that nobody outside our little bubble gives a damn about, that we’ve forgotten something incredibly important.

We’re supposed to be inspiring humanity, not just impressing each other.

Where are the stories about the diseases we might cure? The poverty we could eliminate? The lives we could save? The extraordinary future we could build together?

We should be giving people something to look forward to. Something worth believing in. A future they actually want to be part of.

Instead, we’ve been preaching to the choir while the rest of the world grows increasingly skeptical.

But here’s the thing.

You can never doom. You learn, you adapt, you build and you keep failing forward. Faster and faster.

We have an extraordinary opportunity to change the course of human civilisation. Let’s start showing people why that matters.

Abundance. Longevity. Prosperity. A Kardashev Type III civilisation.

That’s the future I’m fighting for.

Never doom, only bloom! 🚀
