The people demanding we slow down or pause AI seem to have absolutely no idea what’s at stake here.
We are standing at the dawn of what could become the greatest technological revolution in human history. A revolution that could unlock abundance on a scale we can barely comprehend, transform how we produce energy, help us overcome enormous environmental challenges and, most importantly, save countless human lives.
Think about that for a moment.
Millions of people are suffering from terrible diseases right now. Cancer patients hoping for another chance at life. Families watching their loved ones slowly disappear. People desperately waiting for medical breakthroughs that cannot come soon enough.
And you want us to slow down?
AI could accelerate the discovery of cures, help us understand and eventually overcome biological aging, and open the door to radically longer, healthier lives. At a time when declining birth rates and aging populations threaten our demographic future, these breakthroughs could fundamentally change humanity’s trajectory.
We are talking about the possibility of giving people decades, perhaps eventually centuries, of healthy life. About creating a world where scarcity, suffering and disease no longer define the human experience.
And some people want to put the brakes on all of that because they’re afraid of the future?
Of course we need alignment. Of course we need to take genuine risks seriously. But safety and acceleration are not enemies. We should be working relentlessly to achieve both.
The answer to uncertainty is not to surrender to fear. It’s to innovate, solve problems and build something better.
We owe it to every person fighting for their life today, and to every generation that comes after us, to push forward.
Not recklessly. Not blindly. But with courage, intelligence and an unshakable belief in what humanity can become.
Accelerate. Align. Build.
Never doom, only bloom. ❤️
